This Is Not a Government Office. This is a private reference resource. We cannot retrieve records, conduct an official check, correct a file, or accept a New York record-sealing application. Contact the government custodian instead.
Need an Official Record?
Use the office that holds the specific Rockland County record:
- Court case files: use the court case lookup routes or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
- Criminal records and rap sheets: contact the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), Office of Criminal Justice Records
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the arresting police agency and Rockland Sheriff-Corrections as applicable
- Personal record review: use DCJS and IdentoGO for the fingerprint-based process
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Record sealing: file through the court that entered the qualifying disposition
For Sheriff incident, communications, corrections, and booking records, contact the Rockland County Sheriff's Office, 55 New Hempstead Road, New City, NY 10956, at 845-638-5400. The county's online FOIL system is the written tracking channel, and requests must name the actual department because Rockland has no countywide Records Access Officer.
For Supreme and County Court files, contact the Rockland County Clerk at the Rockland County Courthouse, 1 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956, at 845-483-8310. Public courthouse hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding state holidays. A town or village Justice Court keeps its own local case file.
